According to a CBS News and New York Times political poll whose results were released on Friday, President Barack Obama has a 51 percent approval rating across the United States as he is poised to begin his second term as president of the United States on Monday. Forty-one percent of those polled disapprove of the president’s job performance which leaves 18 percent undecided.
In comparison to similar polls conducted shortly after President Obama’s reelection on Nov. 6, 2012, this rating is down six percentage points from his approval rating determined at that time.
