Today is a monumental day in American history. It is the day that an American President blatantly disregards public opinion and does an end-run around Congress. Today is the day that Barack Obama’s edict to support faux amnesty goes into effect. You can call it anything you want. But let’s call it what it actually is: a desperate ploy to secure a voting bloc in the November election. However, President Obama may be doing more harm than good with the wave of his pen. Legalities aside, he’s playing with other people’s lives by pushing them into a realm of uncertainty. Barack is not thinking about the lives he may potentially ruin; Barack the narcissist is only thinking about Barack and how best these people can be the pawns that help him secure 4 more years in the White House.
Dr. Thomas Sowell said it best:
Whatever the merits or demerits of the Obama immigration policy, his Executive Order is good only as long as he remains president, which may be only a matter of months after this year's election. People cannot plan their lives on the basis of laws that can suddenly appear, and then suddenly disappear, in less than a year. To come forward today and claim the protection of the Obama Executive Order is to declare publicly and officially that your parents entered the country illegally. How that may be viewed by some later administration is anybody's guess.
Employers likewise cannot rely on policies that may be here today and gone tomorrow, whether these are temporary tax rates designed to look good at election time or temporary immigration policies that can backfire later if employers get accused of hiring illegal immigrants.

These innocents are simply a means to an end. Barack Obama is Santa Claus personified today but on 11/7, the rug of the path to citizenship might just be ripped right out from underneath the illegals as they face the future prospect of a President Romney.
Additionally, we have the issue of those who have waited years for the privilege of living in the US and one day becoming a citizen – legally. They have toiled over mountains of paperwork, participated in lotteries from their relevant country to win a coveted spot in the quota, or might even have attended school in the US history to earn a place in line to receive a coveted spot. They helplessly stand by and watch those who have gamed the system, entering the country illegally and cutting to the front of the line, even if not by their own devise. And now being rewarded for it with a short-cut to citizenship.
Effective today, August 15, for a mere $465, the “application” (wink, wink) can be filed by those persons 30 and under who were brought to the United States before the age of 16. Even certain legal infractions will be overlooked (wink, wink again) during the confirmation process – for example, driving without a drivers’ license or assuming a false identity for work purposes. Initial estimates projected the program allowing about 800,000 people but actual numbers have swelled and now put the count at 1.75 million. Even more critical is the age bracket. The targeted group being the under 30 crowd will actually put more stress on an overcrowded job market field.
Now, along comes UCLA, announcing that it will officially establish a “college of Illegals!” Christened “National Dream University,” UCLA will create a joint program with the National Labor College. This is only open to Illegal Aliens! The prerequisites are as follows: US High School diploma, minimum cum 2.7 GPA, application submission by 10/5/12, and most importantly, demonstrate a commitment to immigrant labor rights and social justice!
Let me get this straight – A National Dream University with a specialty to commit to immigration/labor rights and social justice?? Seems the entire DREAM platform has breaking the law at its core.
Folks, if you were looking for a reason to not vote for Barack, put this one on the top of your list. If you were not looking for a reason, you just found one.
