Judging by how the following video plays out, we going to go ahead and say she didn’t learn anything from her Tuesday encounter with former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu.
"We need less burdens, less regulation, less taxation on America so you can unleash the American people,” said Virginia Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli while discussingPresident Obama’s plan to allow the Bush-era tax cuts to expire for anyone making more than $250,000 a year.
Mitchell challenged his claim that the president’s proposal to allow the Bush-era tax cuts to expire for anyone making more than $250,000 would be detrimental to the middle-class.
“Of course, their argument is that only two or three percent of the people would be affected by the, uh, middle-class tax cut,” she said and then paused. “But, uh, being imposed, would, uh, be involved so that it would not actually affect those who are creating jobs.”
Cuccinelli, like Sununu, found it difficult to keep a straight face.
“Well, small business owners, for instance –” he started.
“The people at the $250,000 level, they say, you know,” Mitchell interjected, “it’s law firms, it’s not really small businesses that would be affected.”
“Oh, gimme’ a break!” Cuccinelli shot back, “C’mon! That’s a lie and the American people know it. That’s just absolutely not true and the American people reject this class warfare approach anyway.”.
