Another 'Fast and Furious' Obama Fiasco

Dead Americans and piles of bodies in a Mexican war prove once again that Obama's policies are not the answer to anyone's ills, let alone a means to end a war. Moreover, incompetence is revealing itself as a major source of murder and mayhem both here and abroad. What reasoned, rational person would even propose that a policy that failed so miserably in Mexico be duplicated in Libya -- especially on behalf of individuals who, once armed, will make bloodthirsty neighborhood drug cartels seem more like Mr. Fred McFeely Rogers?

Think about that for a moment. The Obama government is thinking about supplying the Libyan Rebels with arms and we do not even know who they are.

President Present and his Keystone Cops. Just can't make this stuff up.

Voted up! Exactly, Patriot. Keystone cops that do everything and complete nothing, except for making our Country look bad. We have a mess on our border, and nothing has been done. Libyan rebels being supported with arms is crazy, these guys are having a field day while our President Present as you call it is more worried about his re-election and gaining support for the next election. We need action, but all we get is chaos.

Yes we do Patriot. These are the same people whom we are fighting in Afghanistan. A lot of the libyan rebels are alqeada, Muslim brotherhood. What worries me is that Obama is a closet Muslim, supplying arms to the rebels.

I love the irony of the left.

Bush was the dumbest man to have every sat in the White House, yet he "Fooled" every one in congress over Iraq, AND Obama has extended virtualy every single Bush policy.

Obama was the smartest, most brilliant Nobel Prize winning president in history (before he raised his right hand?), and yet "How do you expect him to fix everything", and "Things were worse than even he knew", and "Nobody else could have fixed it all".

Even when Democrats OWNED the House, Senate, and White House, it was still the Republican's fault.

There is a reason the rich get richer and the dumb get poorer.

And in the wealth re-distribution arena.

Maryland (Votes ~60% democrat statewide) is about to pass a law adding a 3% tax to ALL Alcohol sales (9% total). The money raised for education will ONLY go to TWO School Districts (Out of 20+), Baltimore and Prince Georges County. These two areas vote about 80% Democrat every year, have about 95% of the murders in the state, and have High School graduation rates around 30%.

Of course if your black and living in a Republican county/township, I guess its assumed you're already getting a proper education.................

It would be interesting to set with obama for a while and ask him just why Libya was such an important target when the very same thing is happening throughout the Middle East and Mexico.

I would like to know just what his criteria is for “humanitarian aid” and the “arming of rebels”, it has been suggested that he picked Libya because he thought it would be an easy political gain for him, but knowing Gaddafi and his ways now for over 30 years, that is not going to happen, he will fight on.

I believe obama expected Gaddafi to simply fold and he would have a quick win under his belt, I also know that he was told by some “in the know people” at the pentagon that this was not a good idea.

How does one justify the intervention on the part of a group of rebels spurred on by radical Islam ahead of the other same scenarios that are taking place around the world?

There are those in top inside positions that say this was a serious miscalculation on the part of the president, and he ignored advice concerning the logistics of such an operation against Gaddafi.

Some of the people I know and have for many years now at the pentagon are saying this thing has been slipshod from the start, two find it very interesting that the president started this action and then turned it over to the coalition forces to finish.

The U S was the one that brought it up at the UN, got everyone involved and now wants out, that according to some NSA folks is causing a rift in relations with some of the coalition nations.

No, certainly not EVERY single ATF operation.

But when it concerns an operation that deals with a situation as volatile as the Mexican border, he better make it his business to know every major facet of the operation.

Additionally, it concerns a DIRECT border of the contiguous 48 states (or is that 57?) and we only have 2 countries that border the US directly by the way.

This just proves that he has absolutely know clue as to what is going on.

Immigration enforcement has increased a lot under Obama.

The Right talks a big game, but they don't deliver on anything. Bush and his cronies neglected the Border and did their best to encourage Illegal Immigration. The hypocrisy of the right is truly amazing.

Obama inherited a screwed-up economy and 2 wars from Bush and his Neo-Con criminals, and you're whining about Obama bombing a known terrorist supporter who has killed Americans, and are complaining about him "Considering" whether or not to give weapons and ammo to some people fighting this murderous bastard. And you're doing this while mumbling incoherent complaints that Obama isn't micromanaging the ATF.

Your posts are hilarious! Keep them up, you've raised my spirits tremendously!

If, after the fact, American soldiers die because of arming Hezb'allah, al-Qaeda warriors, and "freelance Jihadists" disguised as Libyan rebels, what is Obama going to do -- call upon the trusty "Who authorized illegal guns to Mexico?" excuse, which was that he "didn't know about it"?

Dead Americans and piles of bodies in a Mexican war prove once again that Obama's policies are not the answer to anyone's ills, let alone a means to end a war. Moreover, incompetence is revealing itself as a major source of murder and mayhem both here and abroad. When he admitted that he knew nothing about American guns being supplied to Mexican criminals, Barack Obama placed blame on a "big government [...] with a lot of moving parts" for border patrol agents being killed with weapons the ATF knew were smuggled across the border. Regrettably, what makes things more treacherous is having a president at the controls who, rather than abandoning a failed policy, chooses to compound an already bad set of circumstances by propagating in Libya the same deadly policy proven to be a fiasco in Mexico.

Despite all wishfull GOP thinking, seriously doubt that will happen, Obama is going to be hard to beat in 2012, with Palin, Huckabee, Newt, and now Trump in the possible mix, there isnt anyone that is even close to challenge his presidency.

Keep thinking...because it has been McCain and the right that have been hammering on about arming the rebels Obama up to this point has been resisting. Leading in with Gates saying that if they think the Rebels are to be armed, other countries should be the one arming them.

          http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42358291/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa/

"WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Thursday it should not be up to Washington to train and assist Libyan rebels or do nation-building after any fall of Moammar Gadhafi — jobs better left to others."

"But Republican Senator John McCain, one of the strongest proponents of greater intervention in the North African country, criticized the U.S. military for transferring command "at a time when the Gadhafi forces have literally, tragically routed the anti-Gadhafi forces."

"To be honest, other than a relative handful of leaders, we don't have much visibility into those who have risen against Gadhafi," Gates said, describing them as a "disparate" and "scattered" movement with competing agendas."

(CNN) -- On a day when opposition forces in Libya suffered battlefield losses, President Barack Obama made clear in interviews Tuesday with the three major U.S. television networks that he was open to arming the rebel fighters.

"I'm not ruling it out, but I'm also not ruling it in," Obama told NBC in one of the separate interviews he gave the day after a nationally televised speech on the Libya situation.

"I think it's fair to say that if we wanted to get weapons into Libya, we probably could," Obama told ABC. "We're looking at all our options at this point."

                http://edition.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/03/29/obama.libya.interviews/index.html?eref=edition

The White House refused to comment on a Reuters report that President Barack Obama has signed a secret order authorizing covert U.S. government support for rebel troops.

"I will reiterate what the president said yesterday -- no decision has been made about providing arms to the opposition or to any group in Libya," said White House press secretary Jay Carney in a statement. "We're not ruling it out or ruling it in. We're assessing and reviewing options for all types of assistance that we could provide to the Libyan people, and have consulted directly with the opposition and our international partners about these matters."

When Pres. Obama invited Pres. Calderon to the U.S. with a full State Dinner, I watched in awe as this crook was given recognition. And, this came on the heels of Az's stance on illegal immigrants from Mexico. If this person cared about his people they would gladly stay in Mexico. We know the reason why Calderon takes issue with his people being deported back to their country....Mexico would lose billions of dollars per year from the people who send this U.S. money back to Mexico for their families.

Obama knows what Calderon is all about. Having lived in Mexico, I have seen first hand how these people live. Obama knows everything and is too busy kissing butts to confront Caldeon about his part in the drug cartels and illegal arms. I don't believe for one minute that Obama didn't know.

Obama visits everywhere else.....why not Mexico? Calderon is as much a traitor to his people as Gaddahfi. He stays in his Presidential Palace and does nothing.

And of course the Republicans treated Calderone differently, NOT!

                March 13, 2007

President Bush vowed Tuesday to do all he can to push for changes in U.S. immigration laws, and stressed that he and his Mexican counterpart, Felipe Calderon, were working together on immigration issues.

"My pledge to you and your government -- but more importantly, the people of Mexico -- is that I'll work as hard as I possibly can to pass comprehensive immigration reform," Bush said at a ceremony welcoming him to Mexico.

"Together we're working to ensure that we have a secure and modern border that speeds the legitimate flow of people and commerce, and stops those who threaten our common safety and prosperity," Bush said.......................

.................The two leaders were meeting Tuesday at Hacienda Temozon, a resort outside Merida on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Following the meeting, Bush, Calderon, and their wives will tour Mayan ruins in Uxmal before sitting down for dinner in Merida.

More whining from the hypocritical Right. You people don't seem to remember what your own leaders have done in the past, so you still bring up your incoherent BS arguments.

It's not the policies of the Obama Administration that is causing the deaths at the border, but the policies, the law that Governor Jane Brewer signed into law. Let's get our facts straight. What stories have been published on line, what stories have been published here on Newsvine, the policies, the position that President Obama have on border security? Has he made his intentions known?

The reasons why Gov. Brewer signed into law AZ's illegal immigration law was BECAUSE there were deaths on the border and rampant criminal activity in AZ. What did the President do? He allowed the DOJ to file a complaint against AZ which AZ did not know about until Clinton spilled the beans. Then, he has the unmitigated gall to invite President Calderon during this chaos. No, he has not made his TRUE intentions known. He needs the Latino vote! Obama has forsaken both his races....black and white.

nothing to tout about...how about leadership/direction... the economic recovery caused by GOP spending, and wall street crooks, Katrina, more covert ops and tactics in Afghanistan.

oops... I meant the Gulf oil spill...
